We were hunting for a cosy neighbourhood eatery and we were not disappointed. It was so good and value for money that we went back there a second time. ¥5,500 for Omakase! How do you beat that? When we went back the second time, 2 days later, the chef and his wife recognised us and piled us with extra booze and food! They don’t speak a word of English but with Google translate, communication is not a problem.

Wow, what an experience. A hidden gem. Very kind and patient service. Authentic Japanese atmosphere. They explained the customs and dishes to us in English. Thank you for your kindness and generosity! As a lover of sushi; best fatty tuna I ever had.

This was our best Omekase experience for dinner in Tokyo. The Master was so kind and graceful, and all the ladies were very polite. We had the raw and cooked “package” and it was a really nice surprise. Quite filling at the end. Expect to be in a quiet relaxing mood during your experience, and please show a lot of respect.

Came to Sushi Kurita as part of our local exploration adventure and found this real hidden gem of a place that provided an Omakase experience. The Master is very hands-on and delivers an outstanding variety of fresh seafood. We went with the ¥5500 set meal which includes 1 entree, 1 Sashimi platter and a few Sushi(Nigiri) style dishes. Each dish is one per person, (1 nigiri of each flavour per person). The two ladies explained the dishes very well and provide exceptional service. The food melts into your mouth and give amazing flavour and softness. Learned something new here for how to eat nigiri (Japanese style) which was great to experience.

A little hard to find, the door will be closed, just open it and ask to come in. The staff was lovely and very helpful, and it was amazing because I hadn't tried sushi before and they helped me to understand what was I doing and what was I eating. The food was excellent, if you haven't had sushi before and don't like fish a lot try the simple package and keep an open mind, some pieces will be amazing, but some others will be weird as usually fish goes. If you like fish go for the sashimi version it's really good . Very grateful I tried it here first

We found this hidden gem when visiting Tokyo National Museum. The food was superb, the staff polite and helpful, even though we spoke only a little bit of Japanese. This is the best dining experience we have had in a long time.
